An immersive journey through the Koba Jain Museum

Calmness, intrigue, and a sense of discovery unfold as one steps into the world of Jain philosophy and history. The Samrat Samprati Museum of Jain Heritage brings together a part of the world’s largest collection of Jain manuscripts and artefacts, weaving them into a story that unfolds across seven galleries. Carefully choreographed interiors guide visitors through the many facets of Jainism, from its philosophies and cosmology to the lives of Jain Tirthankaras, royalties, and patrons. Along the way, the journey descends into the Jain conception of hell, then moves across centuries to reveal Akbar’s edict in support of Paryushan. Seemingly distant events begin to speak to one another, and dots connect across time, making a vast and layered history feel intimate and relatable. What emerges is more than an exhibition; it is an invitation to pause, look closer, and experience Jain heritage through stories that continue to resonate.
