JSW Sanjeevani Multispeciality Hospital gets a special mention at JK Architect of the Year Awards ( JK AYA ) under the Healthcare & Medical Buildings category

Located in Dolvi, Raigad and designed for JSW Steel Ltd., the JSW Sanjeevani Hospital advocates emotional well-being by fostering belonging and meaningful connection.
As the first multispeciality hospital in Maharashtra’s infrastructure-starved Dolvi village, the JSW Sanjeevani Hospital not only provides better healthcare to the local community but also facilitates the region’s economic and infrastructural growth. The hospital facilitates both physical and emotional well-being for patients, staff and visitors by connecting them with nature, art and each other. Studying the lives of people inhabiting the Dolvi village with its architectural language of sloping roofs, deep overhangs, verandahs and balconies in this sea-side context became our cues to ensure a hospital that is relatable and non-intimidating for its occupants. Natural light & ventilation are maximized through design, enhancing thermal comfort & reducing infection spread. Passive design strategies limit air conditioning to critical areas, saving energy. This sustainable hospital exemplifies a model for rural healthcare facilities, promoting both community health and local development.
The PLAN Award is an annual international prize that recognizes excellence in architecture, interior design, and urban planning. The award celebrates the hospital's innovative approach to architecture, exemplifying the best in sustainable architecture firms. The project reflects the work of the best green architects, setting a new benchmark for sustainable healthcare infrastructure in the country.
