SJK is proud to be recognized as one of the AD100 2025 honorees.

SJK’s Project ‘The Light House’ Featured in AD100 2025
We are honoured that The Light House, a private residence in Nagpur designed by SJK, has been featured in Architectural Digest’s AD100 2025. The project draws from climate-responsive vernacular traditions—evoking the courtyards and jharokhas of North Indian havelis and the wooden structure of Maharashtrian wadas—to create a serene, shaded living environment that responds to the harsh summers of central India. This design philosophy echoes SJK’s approach to cultural architecture design and sustainable architecture, where material honesty and contextual intelligence come together to create rooted yet contemporary spaces.
As we expand our portfolio, we continue to craft spaces with a deep sensitivity to history, landscape, and the social fabric of communities. We design spaces for a rapidly urbanizing India, meticulously crafted from a study of climate, culture, history and technology—each unique to the place and its people. This is a philosophy we carry forward into our upcoming projects, including a hotel in Hampi, a higher education campus in Warangal, and a nursing college near Alibaug.
The AD100 is a prestigious annual list curated by Architectural Digest India, celebrating the most influential names in architecture and interior design. Recognized across the country and beyond, the AD100 acknowledges firms that are redefining the built environment—be it through resort design architects, museum designers in India, or hospitality architecture firms creating immersive experiences. We are proud to be included among these pathbreakers, and look forward to continuing our pursuit of architecture that is timeless, sustainable, and deeply contextual.
