The flagship store of Forest of Chintz in Mumbai wins the Prix Versailles 2022, under the Shops & Stores category at the South Asia & Pacific level!
The Bold yet understated project of Forest of Chintz in Mumbai celebrates the stepwells by featuring a monolithic stepped display system with restrained material and colour palette providing a suitable backdrop for the label’s exuberant collections. The design maximizes product visibility and flexibility, with a central display of brass finished pendant lights and a distressed mirror island, creating a cohesive and intimate shopping experience.
The Prix Versailles, hosted annually at UNESCO since 2015, highlights the finest contemporary architectural projects globally. A world jury selects 24 World Titles across categories like Airport, Museums, Hotels,Retail Architects etc. Recognising innovation, cultural heritage and sustainability, these awards honour the best design architects and projects that embody intelligent design principles, ecological efficiency, and social engagement aligning with UN values.
