Automobile design studio was shortlisted as the Selected New Buildings and Urban Planning Projects in the Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Awards.
The Automobile design studio for Mahindra and Mahindra, was one of the awarded projects for the International architecture awards 2016, organized by The Chicago Athenaeum and The European Center together with Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd.
The jury mentioned and shortlisted the projects based on the growing sensitivity to true human- based design and a sympathetic approach by sustainable design architects towards the environment. M&M Design Studio, the automobile design and styling division of Mahindra & Mahindra group, required a dedicated space to foster their creativity and innovation in car design. Our approach honored the craft of industrial buildings, drawing on their history and skill to transform "mundane" sheds into a state-of-the-art design studio.
The International Architecture Awards are the largest and most extensive global architecture awards program in the world, honoring new skyscrapers, commercial buildings, urban plans, private residences, and real estate projects that achieve a high standard of excellence in design, construction, planning, and sustainability and promote the best architects in India and the world that practice in all types of real estate development for the private and public sectors. This year’s theme aligned with the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale, addressing critical architecture and planning concerns for advanced post industrial cities and third world communities, in a way to imagine the possibilities of future restoration and renovation.
